Understanding air delivery: reading fan specifications

Cubic metres per minute is the headline number: how much air the fan moves. Higher CMM covers more volume, but only useful when the airflow actually reaches the space rather than dissipating.

Sweep is the blade diameter; RPM is how fast it turns. Together with blade design they determine reach and the character of the airflow — broad and gentle, or focused and strong.

Power draw matters most for long-duty installations. Read air delivery against power to compare efficiency, not just the wattage in isolation.
